A large amount of a mixture of C_1 to C_9 alkanes and olefins produced in petrochemical production is collectively referred to as total hydrocarbons. Hydrocarbons are flammable and explosive, pollute the environment and endanger human health. There is currently no method for determining total hydrocarbons in the air monitoring of the workshop.
